Do you want funding to create a food-related project in your community? Want to be connected with Community Mentors? Look no further!

The Sprout Hub is an opportunity for youth between the ages of 14-24 living in the CRD to develop, create, and complete a self-directed project based around or inspired by food. Join a hub of other youth to brainstorm, implement, and evaluate food-related projects. While doing so, you will have connections with community mentors who can support you!

What will the Sprout Hub Look Like?

The Sprout Hub will be a group of youth who want to work with food related projects in their communities. Together, you will generate ideas addressing the gaps within Victoria, work in groups to bring these projects to life, and have the chance to attend Days of Learning to become inspired by what other community members are doing. The following session outline is subject to being adapted as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Session #1- Meet and Greet (What do we know? What do we want to learn?)-May 2020

Session #2- Incubation Stage (What are the gaps? What actions can we take?)-May 2020

Session #3- Seeding our Projects (Check in with starting our projects, Day of Learning)-June 2020

Session #4- Check in and Day of Learning- July 2020

Session #5- Check in and Day of Learning- July 2020

Session #6- Wrap up projects and Day of Learning-Aug 2020

Session #7- Closing Celebration-September 2020
