WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES

The following job postings are work experience positions with the Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiative Roundtable (CRFAIR). CRFAIR is a not-for-profit community based organization that acts as a coordinating backbone to a network of food, farm and health organizations (The Good Food Network) working to promote healthy and sustainable food systems in the Capital Region. Youth Program Assistant

As the Youth Program Assistant will support our Youth Coordinator in delivering creative and engaging activities for the Youth Food Network. The position involves helping plan and deliver youth engagement activities, supporting podcast production with scheduling and logistics, assisting with meetings and events, and contributing to the overall success of our youth programming. Research assistant

The Research Assistant will work closely with our Leadership Team to continue the transformative anti-racism and equity-focused work within the Good Food Network (GFN) and the Youth Food Network (YFN), addressing systemic barriers and fostering inclusive governance, operations, and activities. The position involves gathering information, supporting report writing and layout, assisting with logistics and scheduling, organizing resources, and helping track progress. Event & Engagement Assistant

As Events Assistant you will support several key deliverables of CRFAIR’s 2025 Good Food Gathering. The Good Food Gathering in November brings together a wide cross section of community organizations, government, educators, funders, land stewards, students, growers, harvesters, and makers to be inspired by local change making efforts working at the intersection of food and culture, affordability, justice, and environment. YOUTH ACTION TEAM VOLUNTEERS

Event Support

Assist with setup, greeting, wayfinding, registration, and cleanup at events such as Flavour Trails, Indigenous Food Gatherings, or Good Food Gathering.

ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT

Support facilitators during workshops, assist with collaborative youth program planning, garden workshops, or food justice learning circles.

STORY TELLING

Assist capturing photos, interviews, or write-ups during events to contribute to social media, newsletters, and reports.

MEDIA COORDINATION

Help record, produce, and edit short form videos; help host the Sprouting Conversations Podcast; help create content for our socials.
