Join us in learning how to make your own herbal first aid kit, and enjoy a house cooked meal!
This is one of the Youth Food Network's seasonal get-togethers! Doors open at 4 pm at the Fernwood NRG. We will be in the gymnasium, and if it's nice, spilling outside as well!
The feature of the evening will be a workshop with Rebecca Signe, a registered herbalist. She will lead us through a herbal first aid kit making workshop! This will be hands-on and you will learn of the medicinal properties in the plants.
There is also an incredible dinner being served! Buddha bowls!!!
Enjoy this vegan gluten-free friendly meal with other youth that love food. :) We will close up the event at 9 pm.
Our sliding scale means you pay what you can! The $20 is to cover the cost of ingredients for dinner and supplies for the workshop. If you can't pay that much, we have as low as a $5 registration fee, or you can sign up to volunteer below. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
If both time and money is a barrier, email us to let us know and we'll get you a free ticket. :)
Note: this event is meant for youth between the ages of 14-24 residing in the Capital Region District. If you are an educator please email us to see if there is space!
